New flights to Prague this winter: Hanoi via Almaty and Bolzano from December

Two of the new routes at Václav Havel Airport Prague for the 2026/2027 winter season link the city with Vietnam and the Italian Alps. Vietjet's regular flights between Hanoi and Prague begin in October 2026, twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a stop in Almaty, Kazakhstan, according to Prague Airport. The airline uses an Airbus A330-300 with 377 seats, and passengers can also book the Prague to Almaty section on its own, in both directions. From 9 December 2026 to 28 March 2027, the Italian airline SkyAlps flies between Prague and Bolzano in South Tyrol every Wednesday and Sunday, with a 78-seat Dash 8-Q400 turboprop.

What it means for your trip

  • Coming from Vietnam: you can now fly from Hanoi to Prague with one airline and a stop in Almaty, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
  • Coming from Kazakhstan: the same flights can be booked between Almaty and Prague as a separate ticket.
  • Prague plus the Dolomites: the Bolzano flights run only in the winter season, on Wednesdays and Sundays, so you can combine a city break with skiing in South Tyrol. The flight takes about 75 minutes.
  • Arriving from outside the Schengen area, as on the Hanoi and Almaty flights, means registration in the EU Entry/Exit System at passport control. Our post on EES checks at Prague airport explains what to expect.
  • Check the schedule with the airline before you book, as timetables can change during the season.

For the trip from the terminal into the city, see our guide to getting from Prague airport to the city centre. We arrange airport transfers with a driver who tracks your flight and meets you in the arrivals hall.
