Private tours in Prague

Yes. Every guide we work with holds the Czech National Guide Card, issued by the Ministry of Regional Development, which the law has required for guiding for pay since 2021. Guides must wear the card visibly while guiding. Many of our guides have also passed the Prague guide exam, and your confirmation includes the name of your guide.

Prague City Tourism, the official tourism organisation of the City of Prague, runs the course and exam for the professional qualification Tour Guide in Prague. Guides who pass it have proven detailed knowledge of the history, art and architecture of the city, and they can receive the higher degree of the Czech National Guide Card.

Yes. Every tour we arrange is private, so the route, pace and length can be adjusted to your group. You can combine Prague Castle with the Jewish Quarter, add a lunch stop, shorten a walk for children or cover part of the route by car. Tell us what matters to you and we suggest a plan.

A private tour is only for you and your group, whether you are two people or twenty. For walking tours we recommend about 20 to 25 people per guide, so everyone can hear and ask questions. Larger groups are split between several guides, and radio headsets are available on request.

Yes, tours run in all weather, and Prague is beautiful in every season. In rain or cold we adjust the route with more indoor stops, such as churches, museums or a café, and a car can shorten outdoor walks. If the weather makes a tour unsafe, we propose a new time or date.

Entrance tickets are listed separately in your quote, so you can choose which sites you want to enter. We book tickets in advance where it saves time, for example for Prague Castle, the Jewish Museum or a concert, and your guide handles them on the day.

Yes. We plan family tours with stories and breaks for children, relaxed tours by car for seniors, and routes with fewer steps for travellers with limited mobility. The historic centre has cobblestones and hills, so tell us about any mobility needs and we plan a realistic route with accessible entrances and a vehicle where needed.

Yes. Most private tours start at your hotel, and a tour can also be combined with your arrival or departure. A driver meets you at the airport or the main railway station, you see the highlights with a guide while your luggage stays in the vehicle, and then you continue to your hotel or your next flight.
