Prague at sunrise: a private photo walk

During the day, Charles Bridge is one of the busiest places in Prague. At sunrise it belongs to a few photographers, a street sweeper and the statues. This walk takes you there at the best moment of the day, when the light is soft, the lanes are empty and Prague looks the way it does on postcards.

Light, not crowds

Your guide plans the route around the direction of the light on your date: the bridge first, while it is quiet, then the steps down to Kampa and the Devil's Channel, the empty lanes of the Lesser Town and a viewpoint for the classic view of the castle above the river. There is time to set up your shot, and nobody walks into your picture.

When to go

Sunrise in Prague is before 5:00 in June and around 8:00 in late December. Summer means an early alarm and warm light, winter means a later start, frost and often mist over the river. Every season has its own pictures.
