Terms and conditions
How quotes, confirmations, payments, changes and complaints work when you book services with us.
Updated
These terms apply to services arranged by PraguePrivate. The company details are shown at the bottom of every page.
Our role
PraguePrivate is a travel agency (cestovní agentura) under Czech law. We arrange individual travel services, such as transfers, accommodation, guides, tickets, restaurant reservations and tailor-made programmes. We do not organise or sell package holidays within the meaning of Czech Act No. 159/1999 Coll.
Some services are provided by us and some by third-party providers, such as hotels, transport companies, venues and ticket sellers. Each quote states who provides each service.
Quotes and confirmation
A quote describes the services, dates, prices and conditions. It becomes a binding booking when you accept it in writing and, where required, pay the deposit stated in the quote. We then confirm each service in writing.
Prices and payment
Prices are stated in the quote, in Czech crowns or euros, including VAT where applicable. Deposits, due dates and payment methods are stated in the quote. Local fees charged by third parties, such as the city accommodation fee, are shown separately when they apply.
Changes
If you want to change a booking, write to us. We confirm the change and any difference in price in writing. If a provider changes or cancels a service, we inform you without delay and offer an alternative or a refund of the price of that service.
Cancellation
Cancellation terms depend on the service and are stated in your quote and confirmation. See our cancellation policy for how cancellations work.
Your responsibilities
Please give us accurate information about travellers, dates, flights and special needs, carry valid travel documents and follow the rules of the places you visit. We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical costs and luggage.
Liability
We are responsible for arranging the services we confirm with due care. Services provided by third parties are also subject to their own terms. We are not liable for events outside our control, such as strikes, weather, traffic or decisions of authorities, but we help you find a solution.
Complaints
If something is not right, tell us or your guide or driver immediately so we can fix it on the spot. You can also send a complaint to [email protected], and we settle it within 30 days. Consumers can also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce) for out-of-court dispute resolution.
Applicable law
These terms and the contracts based on them are governed by Czech law. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
