About this tour
Prague grew up along the Vltava, and the river still gives the best view of it. From the water you see Charles Bridge from below, the castle rising above the Lesser Town and the palaces along the embankments, without a single crowd in the way.
Why a private boat
Public sightseeing cruises are fine, but you share the deck, the commentary and the timing with everyone else. A private boat follows your plan: a short trip for two with a bottle of wine, a family outing with children at the front, or a whole group with lunch on board. You decide when to go, how long to stay and where to get off.
Small boats can slip into the Devil's Channel, the narrow arm of the river between Kampa island and the Lesser Town, where the mill wheel still turns. Larger boats and historic steamers carry whole groups and can serve a meal on board.
Best time of day
Morning trips are calm and good for photos of the castle. Late afternoon brings warm light on the bridges, and after dark the castle and the bridges are lit, which makes the most romantic trip of all. In the colder months, many boats have a covered deck.

How many people fit on a private boat?
From a couple to a large group. We choose the boat by the number of guests, from small open boats to historic steamers for big groups.
Is the Devil's Channel included?
Yes, on small boats, which are the only ones that can enter it. Larger boats stay on the main river, from where you see the mouth of the channel.
What if the weather is bad?
Many boats have a covered deck. If the river is closed because of high water, we move the trip or offer an alternative.
