About this tour
Just below Prague Castle, the Lesser Town hides some of the most beautiful gardens in Central Europe, and most visitors never see them. This tour takes the quiet way through the city: terraced palace gardens, the island of Kampa, the narrow Devil's Channel and the green hill of Petřín, where Prague families go on Sunday.
Gardens, water and a hill
The baroque gardens of the Lesser Town were built by noble families who wanted a view of the city from their own terraces. From April to October you can walk through them, and your guide explains who built them and why. Kampa island, cut off from the Lesser Town by the Devil's Channel, has the old mill wheel, the Lennon Wall nearby and some of the calmest corners of the centre.
Petřín hill rises right above it. The funicular, back in service since September 2026 with new cars, takes you up to the orchards, the rose garden and the lookout tower, a small copy of the Eiffel Tower with a view over the whole city.
A tour for a second look
This is a good choice for a second visit to Prague, for photographers and for anyone who prefers gardens to crowds. The pace is gentle, with breaks, and the route changes with the seasons.

Is the funicular running?
Yes. The Petřín funicular runs again from 22 September 2026 with new cars. If it is closed on your date, we walk up the path or take a car up the hill.
Can we add a boat ride?
Yes. A short boat ride on the Devil's Channel fits well after Kampa, and we add it to your quote.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The funicular, the mirror maze on Petřín and the gardens work well for children, and the pace follows them.
