Prague Signal Festival 2026: free light art from 15 to 18 October

Prague's Signal Festival returns for its 14th edition from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 October 2026, with the theme “Dream On! Dreams and Visions.” The festival runs every evening from 19:00 to 24:00, with ticket holders for the paid Signal INSIDE installations able to enter from 18:00.

For the first time, the festival adds a second route through Dejvice alongside its traditional route in the historic centre, spreading light art, video mapping and laser installations across 17 locations. Of the 21 installations, 13 are free and open to everyone, while the other eight, the Signal INSIDE zone, are shown inside otherwise inaccessible buildings and need a paid ticket.

What it means for your trip

• Both routes run every evening from 15 to 18 October 2026, 19:00 to 24:00. Expect large crowds and a slower walking pace near the installations.
• The 13 free installations need no ticket or booking. The 8 Signal INSIDE installations, in indoor venues, are paid and ticketed separately.
• The city centre route includes Republic Square (Náměstí Republiky), in front of the Palladium shopping centre. If you have evening plans in the centre between 15 and 18 October, allow extra time.
• A new second route runs through Dejvice this year, a good option if you want to see installations away from the busiest crowds.
• Public transport keeps running, but trams and metro near festival locations get busy after 19:00. Leave more time to reach dinner reservations or an evening tour.
