Prague Sounds 2026: the 30th anniversary festival runs 2 to 22 November
Published

Prague Sounds, the city's genre-crossing music festival, returns for its 30th anniversary edition from Monday 2 November to Sunday 22 November 2026. According to the festival's own site and Prague City Tourism, the programme mixes jazz, classical and experimental music in venues across the city, among them the Rudolfinum, La Fabrika in Žižkov, the Lucerna Palace on Wenceslas Square, the Church of St Salvátor and Divadlo X10. Confirmed names include pianist Hiromi, vocalist Samara Joy, sitarist Anoushka Shankar and a concert marking composer Steve Reich's 90th birthday. A bonus anniversary concert, “Koller: Kryl,” follows on 3 December 2026 at O2 universum, according to the festival's own listing.
What it means for your trip
- The festival runs for three weeks, so check the date and venue of each concert before you plan your evening.
- Concerts are spread across several parts of Prague, not only the historic centre, from Žižkov to the Old Town.
- Tickets are sold through the festival's own website, praguesounds.cz.
- Some venues, among them the Rudolfinum and the Church of St Salvátor, are sightseeing stops in their own right, so you can combine a concert with a daytime visit.
- If you are in Prague for only a few days, pick one or two concerts rather than trying to cover the whole three-week programme.
If you would like a guided introduction to Prague's musical landmarks before your concert, our Musical Prague tour visits the Estates Theatre, the Municipal House and the Rudolfinum with a licensed guide.
